SYDNEY, 1st of August, 2024. Ranlytics today announced the newest version of its proven KALLO continuous, real-time RF monitoring platform, with auto scanning and discovery of all available mobile networks, and support for active testing of mobile networks.
Mobile channel scanning, continuous monitoring of all deployed mobile networks, and active testing of mobile networks has until now required different measurement equipment and data processing tools – oftentimes from different vendors. Plus different installation, operation, and data processing skills.
The inevitable result has always been increased complexity, time-to-actionable insight, resource requirements, and cost.
KALLO 2.0 represents a step change in monitoring and data analysis capability to address all of those issues.
Each KALLO 2.0 unit is built on the latest generation of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon mobile system on chip. SIMs are pre-installed to enable fast and easy deployment, configuration, and operation.
When first powered up, KALLO scans all mobile channels to automatically discover and program all available 2G-5G carrier/band combinations. It then commences continuous monitoring of all of those bands, collecting numerous QMDL service quality metrics, uploading measurement data to the Ranlytics cloud in near realtime, and storing it persistently in the hyperscale cloud datastore.
Every band is measured once every minute on average. Once all bands have been measured in turn, the cycle repeats – continuously and automatically.
You can then immediately import selected metrics into your service desk application or NOC via a GraphQL queryable API.
KALLO 2.0 adds scripted active testing of user-selectable operator-technology-band combinations. Scripts can be built via an intuitive browser-based administration console, and delivered over-the-air to any KALLO devices. Metrics including data upload and download throughput rates, jitter and latency are collected.
The continuous monitoring data is also an invaluable diagnostic tool that helps to determine root cause of, and to resolve problems that are difficult if not impossible to identify with traditional single-pass testing.
IP-65 rated, KALLO is easily deployable wherever mobile connectivity is critical, from boardrooms, hospital wards and underground rail platforms to mine sites, factory floors and first responder depots.
Orderable now, KALLO 2.0 provides unparalleled insight into the availability and quality of all deployed public, private and CBRS mobile networks.
